Roof Repair

Roof Repair Questions

How do I know if my RV roof is leaking?

Look for stains or bubbles on the ceiling, drips from vents or lights, and soft spots on the roof. The leak isn't always directly above the stain — water travels — so a full inspection finds the real source.

How often should an RV roof be resealed?

Most RV roofs should be inspected and resealed at least once a year, and any time you see cracked or peeling sealant. East Texas heat and storms age sealant faster.

Can you repair a soft spot in my RV roof?

Often, yes. If the decking underneath is still solid, a patch and reseal can fix it. If the decking is rotted, we'll walk you through a replacement plan.

Should I repair or replace my RV roof?

If the leaks are isolated and the membrane is sound, a repair is usually enough. If the membrane is failing across the roof or the decking is rotted, replacement is the better long-term fix.

How long does an RV roof repair take?

Most reseals and patches take a day or two. Larger repairs depend on the extent of the damage and drying time — we'll give you a timeline with your estimate.

Roof Replacement

Roof Replacement Questions

How do I know if I need a full roof replacement?

If the leaks are widespread, the decking is soft, or the membrane is failing in more than a few spots, replacement is usually more cost-effective than repeated repairs.

What roofing materials do you use?

We install rubber membranes like EPDM and TPO — the same materials RV manufacturers use — and reseal every vent, skylight, and edge with quality sealant.

Do you fix rotted decking too?

Yes. When we tear off the old roof we replace any rotted or soft decking so the new roof has a solid base.

How long does an RV roof replacement take?

Most replacements take several days to a week depending on size and how much decking needs replacing. We'll give you a clear timeline with your estimate.

Fiberglass

Fiberglass Questions

Can you repair a cracked RV front cap?

Yes. Cracked front and rear caps are one of the most common fiberglass repairs we do. We repair the structure and match the finish.

Can you match the color of my RV's gelcoat?

We color-match gelcoat to blend the repair with the surrounding finish. Some older or faded finishes may not be a perfect match, and we'll tell you upfront.

Do you fix holes all the way through the sidewall?

Yes. We rebuild the fiberglass structure and refinish the surface so it's sealed and looks right.

How long does fiberglass repair take?

Smaller repairs take a few days; larger cap or sidewall repairs take longer because of cure and finish time. We'll give you a timeline with your estimate.

Water Damage

Water Damage Questions

How do you find where the water is coming in?

We inspect the roof, seams, vents, and windows, and use moisture testing to trace the water back to its entry point — which isn't always where the stain is.

Can you replace a rotted RV floor?

Yes. We cut out the rotted subfloor, repair any framing underneath, and install new flooring so it's solid again.

Will you fix the leak too, or just the damage?

Both. Rebuilding the damage without stopping the leak wastes your money, so we reseal the source as part of the repair.

How long does water damage repair take?

It depends on how far the rot has spread. Smaller repairs take a few days; larger rebuilds take longer. We'll give you a timeline with your estimate.

Delamination

Delamination Questions

What is RV delamination?

Delamination is when the layers of your RV's sidewall — the fiberglass, core, and inner wall — separate, usually because water got in and broke down the adhesive.

What causes delamination?

Almost always water. A leak lets moisture into the wall, the adhesive fails, and the layers pull apart. Heat and age make it worse.

Can delamination be repaired, or do I need a new wall?

Smaller areas can often be repaired by re-bonding the layers and fixing the leak. Larger or long-running damage may need a section of wall rebuilt. We'll tell you which with your estimate.

Will it come back if I don't fix the leak?

Yes. That's why we always find and seal the water source as part of the repair — rebuilding the wall without stopping the leak won't last.

Collision

Collision Questions

Do you work with insurance companies on RV collision claims?

Yes. We work with insurance companies on collision and storm claims, write detailed estimates, and can communicate directly with your adjuster.

Can you repair storm and hail damage?

Yes. Storm, hail, and tree-limb damage are common RV collision repairs for us across East Texas.

Do I need an estimate before I file a claim?

We can write a detailed estimate you can submit to your insurance. Bring your claim info and we'll walk you through it.

How long does collision repair take?

It depends on the extent of the damage and parts availability, and on insurance approval. We'll give you a timeline with your estimate.

Insurance Claims

Insurance Claims Questions

How does the RV insurance claim process work?

You report the damage to your insurance, we inspect and write a detailed estimate, your adjuster approves the scope, and we do the repairs. We can talk directly with your adjuster along the way.

What do I need to bring for an insurance estimate?

Your claim number, your insurance company's name, and photos of the damage if you have them. We'll handle the rest of the estimate.

Do you work with all insurance companies?

We work with most major RV and auto insurance carriers on repair claims. Tell us your carrier and we'll confirm.

Will you wait for insurance approval before starting?

Generally yes — we want the claim approved before repairs begin so the scope and payment are clear. We'll walk you through the timeline.

Free Inspection

Free Inspection Questions

Is the roof inspection really free?

Yes. The inspection and written report are free. If repairs are needed, you get a clear estimate and you decide whether to move forward — no pressure.

How long does the inspection take?

Most roof inspections take about 30–45 minutes depending on the size of the RV and the roof condition.

What do you check during the inspection?

We check the membrane, seams, sealant, vents, skylights, and AC seals, and look for soft spots and early signs of leaks.

Do I need to bring my RV in, or do you come to me?

We're a shop — you bring your RV to our East Texas shop for the inspection. Book a time with the form and we'll confirm.
